Article Author: Ruth Baigent
Ruth Baigent is a spiritual director formed at the Centre for Applied Carmelite Spirituality in Boars Hill and holds a Diploma in Spiritual Accompaniment from the Teresianum (Pontifical Theological Faculty) in Rome. She is also a biodynamic massage therapist trained at the Cambridge Body Psychotherapy Centre, and a graduate in Philosophy from the University of Warwick. Based in West Penwith, she accompanies Church leaders who aim to serve with humility, inner freedom, and a healthy detachment from power. Her practice is rooted in an inclusive reading of the Gospel — especially the Good Samaritan—and shaped by a transpersonal, psychospiritual approach to accompaniment.
