A Pilgrim’s Path

BY

Silencio
Start at that still place
Where pilgrims long have trod
Seeking the wordless grace of God.

Lectio
Hold in hand the Holy Book
Seeking in it words of life
To assuage inner pain and strife.

Meditatio
Ponder each and every word
The Spirit sends into your mind,
Disclosing the message you were meant to find.

Oratio
Let prayer flow with every breath,
Filling you with new found joy
As if you were God’s favourite toy.

Contemplatio
Sit with Mary at his feet,
Released from every pain and sorrow,
Refusing to worry about tomorrow.

Actio
Come with Martha and set the table,
For Jesus wants to be your guest,
He who began and ends your quest.
